Revival of Trends Ruling Men’s Fashion this Season

The autumn-winter men’s collection of the year 2013-14 has seen a number of trends hit the headlines. Most of these fashion trends made it really big and weren’t just limited to the runways of New York, Milan, London and Paris. Fashion conscious men around the globe kept trends in mind as they shopped for their autumn and winter wardrobes. Here are a few trends that were seen rather commonly of late:

This season, many styles were revived. The 1970s look was very much in vogue as many designers were completely drawn into the ‘retro’ fiasco. The military look was another style that was revived prints and colours. The military green, camouflage jackets and influences were seen quite a lot in the fashion circuit. Punk was another style that resurfaced this season with many designers taking up the cause. The sporty look was also in and impacted the runways worldwide. And classic elegant fashion of the 40s and 50s remained evergreen. This season, a lot of outdoor activity trends were also seen to hit the circuit.

A few key colours ruled the autumn-winter collection of 2013-14. Colours like beige, orange & yellow, Bordeaux, teal, tomato red, baby blue, military green, navy blue, white, and grey took the men’s fashion scene by storm this season. Various items of clothing and accessories were seen in these colours and men sported them with élan and continue to do so.

A few prints and patterns that were a part of this season’s collection, in men’s fashion were, animal prints, camouflage, pinstripes, floral & paisley, tartan, plaid & check, repeat prints, photographic landscape prints, iconography, religious iconography, word & slogans and brush stroke patterns. These were the prints that made headlines this season. On jackets, shirts, T-shirts, coats, etc. these prints looked fabulous. Men of various age groups sported them and they all look brilliant.

There were certain items of clothing that defined this season and without them the wardrobe would really look empty. Clothing items like, the duffle jacket, the polar neck, the biker jacket, the woven T-shirt, the double breasted suit, the check shirt, the colour-blocked jersey, matching tracksuit sets, the bomber jackets, the pea coat, the car coat, etc. these items of clothing were and continue to be a rage this season.

Autumn-winter fashion trends of 2013-14 made heads turn and stood out fantastically. Men’s fashion seemed complete with them and all fashion conscious men appeared to be really ‘into’ these trends.
